Asmaa Sbou is an interdisciplinary artist whose work moves fluidly through the themes of memory, trauma, gender, and histories of power and displacement. Her practice questions dominant concepts of knowledge, authority, and violence, continuously asking: "What stories are told? How are they told? And told by whom?"

Embracing both personal and collective healing processes, Asmaa’s work flows between solo projects and community-based collaborations. For over 12 years, she has been active as a freelance Black activist and cultural worker in Mannheim and Berlin.

She is the co-founder of Oré Arts, a platform committed to nurturing Black and diasporic artistic practices through fluid, collective, and transformative approaches.
